You can’t miss the headline news that Tragus Group has changed its name to Casual Dining Group, marking the beginning of an exciting new era of substantial growth and expansion for the company. In just over two weeks, the Chairman of Casual Dining Group, Martin Robinson, who is also Chairman of Center Parcs UK, will be speaking at the Arena Savoy Lecture 2015.

Martin will provide further insight into this significant move and the expansion plans that include the opening of 70 new restaurants, the refurbishment of 160 sites and the creation of 3100 jobs over the next three years.

Martin has been widely quoted in the press stating: “The speed and breadth of change at Casual Dining Group has been dramatic, and is testament to a strong executive team led by Steve Richards.  The business is in excellent shape and we can look forward to the future with confidence.”

The announcement of the new title and expansion plans coincide with the posting of the last set of full-year accounts for Tragus Group to 1 June 2014, with highlights including:

  • New senior leadership team in place
  • Debt reduced from £258m to £91m
  • EBITDA of £33.3m
  • Sales up 3.8% to £193.1m
  • Strong Christmas and New Year sales delivered

Guests at the Savoy Lecture will have the fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand from Martin the strategy and philosophy that has created a strong Casual Dining Group and what the future holds.  Casual Dining Group operates over 200 sites with its famous Bella Italia and Café Rouge brands, as well as 20 brasserie concessions at Heathrow and Center Parcs under the brands Huxleys, Belgo, Oriel, La Salle and Amalfi.

Martin will also address the topic of foodservice and hospitality at the highly-successful Center Parcs and industry trends going forward.
