Breaking News: Arena’s Face2Face Event returns for 2022 with a panel of industry leaders

By Berenice, Monday 17 January 2022

This year’s Face2Face event brings to the stage not one, but a panel of inspirational hospitality and foodservice leaders. Taking place on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at the iconic Hyde Park 5 star Royal Lancaster London Hotel we are delighted to introduce our panel of speakers...

Helen Milligan-Smith, Managing Director, Aramark UK

Kate Nicholls OBE, CEO, UKHospitality

Zoe Bowley, Managing Director UK & Ireland, Pizza Express

Sally Beck, General Manager, Royal Lancaster London Hotel

Joanna Aunon, Director, Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure (WiHTL)

After our drinks and canape reception, Kate Nicholls OBE, CEO, UKHospitality will address our audience and provide an informative update on the key issues affecting the industry and how she is working with the government to alleviate some of these issues.

Guests will then enjoy a fabulous three course lunch with wine after which our all-female panel will take to the stage to take part in a powerful, insightful, thought-leadership discussion.

Some of the topics being discussed by our panel include:

Challenges and opportunities – what are the major challenges they believe are affecting the foodservice and hospitality sector, what other support do they feel they need from the government post-Covid and what opportunities are arising.

Approach to building relationships – as a leader, how do you build strong, solid relationships with your teams, suppliers, customers and industry colleagues

Career Journeys – our speakers will describe their career journeys to date discussing any challenges and opportunities along the way

Diversity and Inclusion – how do you get more diverse thinking into your business to make it more inclusive, creating more opportunities for more people and encouraging your employees to feel part of your organisation?

Given that this event features an all-female panel and takes place one week before International Women’s Day – a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – the discussion will also look at:

  • what advice would our panel give to women starting out on a career in hospitality
  • barriers they may have come across and how did they overcome them
  • how can we as an industry collaborate to help women progress
  • how can we get more women onto boards
  • why do you feel boards are not 50:50 men and women

All these areas and more will be discussed so book your tickets now.

Who Should Attend

This event is for anyone working in the foodservice and hospitality sector either as a supplier to the industry or an operator within it.  Regardless of your gender or job role or whether you are at the start of your career, a senior manager or have 30 plus years experience, there is a lot to be gained and learned from our fabulous panel of inspirational leaders.

You will also have the opportunity to catch up with existing and new industry colleagues to build and cement those all-important business relationships.
