We're delighted to announce that Duncan Garrood, CEO, Ten Entertainment Plc, will join the panel of industry leaders at the Arena Savoy Lecture: A view from the top on the evening of Wednesday 20 March 2019. The unmissable event explores the impact of Brexit on the UK Hospitality industry and the likely next steps as we exit the EU and enter the next phase of Brexit planning.
The keynote speech by Kate Nicholls, the CEO of UKHospitality, will be followed by the panel debate, chaired by James Bielby, the Chief Executive of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors.
Duncan Garrood will join other influential names from across the sectors, including Andrew Selley, the Chief Executive of Bidfood, to give their differing opinions and approaches to the unprecedented political and economic situation; including the challenges and opportunities Brexit brings, running a successful business in times of change and uncertainty, and how the industry can work together to make the best of Brexit.
Duncan is an experienced Leisure & Hospitality Industry leader. He is CEO of Ten Entertainment Plc, the UK’s second largest family entertainment business. His mission is to drive significant growth and lead the company to take advantage of the opportunities in experiential Leisure.
His CV boasts leading the property, retail and international operations of BAA, the UK airport operator and in the Middle East pioneering the development of Alshaya’s franchised Food and Beverage businesses. As CEO of Punch Taverns he turned the business back into growth, increased profitability and lead the development of new business models. This success resulted in Punch being acquired for a substantial shareholder premium and once the acquisition was successfully approved, Duncan stepped down and then became CEO of Bill’s restaurants enabling the business to return to LFL growth at a time of serious challenges.
The Arena Savoy Lecture will also enable attendees to make connections and develop relationships with fellow foodservice and hospitality professionals including companies such as Sodexo, Elior, WSH, ISS, Bidfood, Brakes, Nestlé Professional, Premier Foods plus many more! During the drinks and canapé reception and three-course dinner with wine, colleagues from across the industry will have opportunities to discuss ideas and issues.
If you are involved in the foodservice and hospitality industry either as a supplier, wholesaler or operator, this event is not to be missed!
