In less than two weeks, on Monday 2 December 2019 over 150 hospitality and foodservice professionals will gather at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, for a day of insight and inspiration at the Arena Christmas Event. Opening the event is industry commentator Peter Backman and Biff’s Kitchen’s Andrew Allen. They’ve joined forces – with the help of special guests representing start-ups and established businesses – to present ‘2020: A Vision’, a seasonal review of the year and a look at what 2020 may bring.
There's no hiding from the fact it's been a difficult year in general; challenging markets, tech driven disruption and demanding consumers make for interesting times. But what does that mean for the year ahead, and where are the opportunities to win? In this session we'll review the year and then ask our panel for some of their 2020 vision.
The event’s keynote speaker is Alasdair Murdoch, the CEO of Burger King. Drawing on his wealth of experience and success in influential positions within the restaurant industry – including Pizza Hut, KFC, Pizza Express and GBK – the Burger King CEO will discuss important business-shaping topics, including brand turnaround and resurgence, reputation management, supplier partnerships, sustainability, team development and consumer engagement.
