By Berenice, Wednesday 27 October 2021

We're delighted to announce that Tevin Tobun, Founder and CEO of award-winning and multi-sector transport and logistics company GV Group joins Ronan Harte, CEO, BaxterStorey, as a speaker at Arena’s next live event ‘Solutions to the Staffing Crisis – A Different View’ on Tuesday 9 November.

A True Entrepreneur

Having recently joined Marcus Rashford and Kwasi Kwarteng on a list of the top 100 most influential black Britons in the UK for the fourth consecutive year as well as appearing on Sky News discussing the challenges affecting the supply chain - Tevin Tobun is no ordinary CEO.

Since founding GV Group in 2001, Tevin has continually challenged the status quo when it comes to logistics with his fresh thinking, new ideas and modern, non-traditional agile approach. It is this approach that he has also taken when attracting and retaining his staff of over 500 people who deliver over 21 million temperature-controlled food items to vulnerable groups within schools and hospitals throughout the UK working with all the major contract caterers.

In an in-depth panel discussion hosted by Chef Simon Boyle, Founder of Beyond Food and Brigade Bar & Kitchen, Tevin Tobun and Ronan Harte will examine:

  • the current staffing challenges affecting the industry from both a hospitality and supply chain perspective
  • how companies are currently tackling the crisis
  • what new, modern and innovative methods can be used to attract and retain staff across the whole sector and show individuals that its people are at the forefront of their business
  • why technology should be part of your staff attraction and retention strategies
  • the fine line between balancing employees’ needs versus balancing employers’ books from a financial perspective
  • plus much more.

In addition to the panel discussion, the event also includes a drinks reception and three-course lunch with wine cooked and served by the restaurant's team alongside Beyond Food's apprentices plus inspirational speeches from Simon and one of his apprentices on how the training programme has changed their life.
