Andrew Selley, the chief executive of Bidvest Foodservice, will deliver the Arena Savoy Lecture 2017 on Monday 20 March at The Savoy, London. Andrew will draw on his extensive foodservice and hospitality expertise to consider the primary issues affecting the industry in this current period of change. The esteemed event will also feature a fascinating Brexit panel discussion, in partnership with the British Hospitality Association. The panellists will represent specific industry sectors – including contract catering, casual dining, pubs and hotels – and consider the challenges and opportunities that Brexit will present for each.
Andrew has enjoyed a successful 18-year career with the Bidvest business. He has been instrumental in developing the Food Logistics business in the UK, as well as the businesses in Turkey, the Middle East, the Baltics and Spain, and took the driving seat as chief executive of Bidvest Foodservice in 2014. He also sits on the global leadership Foodservice Group within Bidcorp. This month (January 2017), he was appointed Chairman of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors.
Now in its 21st year, Arena’s prestigious Savoy Lecture is a firm favourite with foodservice and hospitality professionals. As well as insight and opinion from influential industry figures, it also offers an excellent opportunity to engage with colleagues during the drinks reception and three-course dinner, whilst enjoying the superb hospitality of the iconic Savoy hotel.
